The River North Design District (RNDD) held their annual River North Fall Gallery Walk on Friday, September 7th and Saturday, September 8th, 2018. Each participating showroom exhibited design vignettes from Chicago’s top designers which showcased living settings highlighting artwork created by some of the brightest stars in the art world today.
This year, Casa Spazio was lucky enough to be paired with the extremely talented Mitchell Channon Design and Hilton | Asmus Contemporary art gallery. Mitchell Channon put together a stunning display centered around the theme of UBUNTU — I AM BECAUSE WE ARE.
“Ubuntu” means finding our humanity in our connection with others. The centerpiece of the vignette was “Mankind III,” a beautiful photograph from world renowned photographer, David Yarrow, represented by Hilton | Asums Contemporary. It was a wonderful night filled with art and design.
We had over 200 people come through the showroom that evening to celebrate our connection to the world community at Casa Spazio. We had food, drinks, and live traditional African music.
A special thank you to the following vendors for their generous contributions to the vignette: Presidio, Maya Romanoff, Professional Decorating and Painting, Inc., Dezign Sewing, Jim Thompson Fabrics, PRIMITIVE, The Rug Company, Holly Hunt, deAurora Showroom, Roche Bobois, and Artists Frame Service.
The vignettes will be exhibited until October 9th so if you weren’t able to make it to the event, come by the showroom between now and October 9th to check it out: 222 W. Hubbard.
